After a few years of doing a solo project during 1997 and 1998, Danny McQuade missed playing with a full band so he asked his brother Paul to play Bass and his best friend Ace to play guitar in a rock band he wanted to form using his acoustic based songs as the starting point. All they needed was a drummer so they asked another childhood friend, Frank Schiazza (who is not a drummer) to play drums. It turned out he did a damn good job for someone who never played drums. With the band set all they needed was a name (They certainly had plenty of songs.) The name was easy. It would be the alias of Travis Bickle from Danny's favorite film "Taxi Driver." Their name became Henry Krinkle.

In 1999 Henry Krinkle recorded an EP titled "Commentary." Since Frank isn't a drummer Danny, Frank, Paul and Ace collectively decided to finally stop being lazy and search for a drummer.  As a result, Danny began sending emails to every person who said they played drums and was lucky enough to get an email back from Jason who actually knew a mutually friend of Danny's. In 2000 the new lineup of Henry Krinkle began to play shows all over the city at such places as The Continental, CBGB's, The Lion's Den, etc. In 2003 they recorded a two song single featuring 'Market Square' and "Great Line. Henry Krinkle continued playing shows until their last show on June 27th, 2004.

Henry Krinkle's song 'Great Line' is used in a film titled "All The Wrong Faces."
